Legal
Terms of Service
The short version
- 14 days free, one trial per email address. After that, Freemium stays free with daily limits, and a paid plan unlocks the rest; monthly or yearly, cancel any time.
- LoadBit works alongside your load boards and mailboxes. Their own terms still apply to you.
- LoadBit's figures and broker checks help you decide; they are not a guarantee. The decision to book stays yours.
- Use LoadBit for your own dispatch work, not for spam, scraping or reselling.
01The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] ("LoadBit", "we", "us") about the LoadBit Chrome extension, loadbit.io and app.loadbit.io (together, "LoadBit"). By creating an account or using LoadBit you accept them, and the Privacy Policy. If you use LoadBit for a company, you accept them for that company too.
LoadBit is a business tool. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
02What LoadBit is
LoadBit reads the loads shown on the load boards you already use, works out figures such as the all-in rate per mile and a profit estimate, looks brokers up in the public FMCSA record when you ask, and sends the emails you start from your own mailbox. Features marked "Soon" are not part of LoadBit until they are released.
LoadBit is not affiliated with or endorsed by DAT, Truckstop, Sylectus, Loadlink, Super Dispatch, TruckSmarter, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL or Fastmail. Their names and logos belong to them. Load boards change their pages from time to time, and LoadBit may stop reading a board until it is updated.
03Your account
- Give a real email address that you control, and keep your password and sign-ins safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- One account is for one person. A Business plan gives a seat to each dispatcher its owner adds by email; each dispatcher uses their own account, and the owner may remove a seat at any time.
- Tell us at support@loadbit.io if you think someone else has used your account.
04The free trial
Confirming your email address starts a free trial of the Pro plan, for 14 days unless we say otherwise when you sign up. There is one free trial per email address and per person: a new account, a different spelling of the same address or a deleted and re-created account does not start a new one. We may end a trial that is abused. When the trial ends, your account stays on Freemium: the free features, with the daily limits shown on the pricing page. What you set up is kept, and opens again with a plan.
05Subscriptions and billing
- Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, at the price shown when you subscribe, plus any tax that applies. Business is billed per dispatcher. If you subscribe during your trial, billing starts when the trial ends.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancel any time in Manage billing on app.loadbit.io; the plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then your account is on Freemium.
- Payments are not refunded for a period already started, except where the law requires it or we say otherwise.
- If a payment fails, we may pause LoadBit until it is paid.
- We may change prices. A new price applies from your next renewal, and we tell you at least 30 days before.
06Your load boards and mailboxes
You use your own accounts with your load boards and mailboxes, and you remain responsible for following their terms. LoadBit reads only what the board shows you, in your browser, for you.
Every email LoadBit sends is yours: you choose the recipient, the template and the moment, and you have a few seconds to cancel. Send only emails you have a right to send, to people who expect to hear from you about freight. LoadBit limits sending to 30 emails an hour and 200 a day per mailbox.
07Acceptable use
Do not use LoadBit to:
- send spam, phishing or misleading emails, or impersonate someone else;
- copy, scrape or resell load board data, or share your account;
- get around LoadBit's limits (Freemium's daily limits included), the free trial rules or its security, or copy, modify or reverse engineer LoadBit except where the law allows it;
- break the law, or anyone's rights.
We may suspend an account that does, and tell you why when we can.
08Figures and checks
Rate per mile, deadhead, profit and route figures are estimates built from what the board shows and the costs you enter. FMCSA records are public data, shown as the FMCSA publishes them, and can be out of date. Your labels and factoring list are your own notes.
LoadBit helps you decide; it does not guarantee that a load, a broker or a payment is safe, accurate or legitimate, and it is not financial, legal or tax advice. The decision to book, and its consequences, stay yours.
09Your content
Your templates, notes, profiles and other content stay yours. Most of it never leaves your browser. For what reaches our servers (your account, and emails sent through the LoadBit mail relay), you let us process it only to provide LoadBit to you.
10Other services
LoadBit works with services run by others, such as Google, Microsoft, Stripe and your load boards. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them or for their availability.
11LoadBit's property
LoadBit, its name, logo, design and software belong to us. While you have an account, we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use LoadBit for your own dispatch work under these terms. Ideas and feedback you send us may be used freely.
12Disclaimers and liability
LoadBit is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost loads or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You will cover our reasonable costs of claims brought by others because of emails you sent or your breach of these terms.
13Ending the agreement
You can stop using LoadBit and delete your account at any time on app.loadbit.io. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, if we must by law, or if we stop offering LoadBit; if we stop offering it, we refund the unused part of a prepaid period. Sections 8, 11 and 12 continue after the agreement ends.
14General
- We may update these terms. We post the new version here with its effective date, and email you before a change that matters to you. Using LoadBit after it takes effect means you accept it.
- These terms are governed by the laws of [State or country], and disputes go to its courts, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
- If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part is not giving it up.
